Radio ministry and music

Radio

The radio ministry has been an important part of my life over the last seven years.
I previously worked at Radio K.C as programs manager and presenter and I am now three years at CCFM. I will keep you updated with the direction of the programs on Sundays' 'Aan die Brrrrrr' program between 2 - 5 pm and Wednesday Nights between 6 - 9 pm.

I am a magazine style radio presenter and my presentation style is also family style radio.
In my personal collection of hundreds of CDs and music DVDs, you will find anything from Donnie Mclurkin, Ce Ce Winans to Jars of Clay, Dumisane(real CAPE FLAVOUR) and a variety of gospel, R&B and contemporary gospel music. I also have CDs of people who haven't entered into the music scene yet an I wish I had time to listen to all these CDs.

The program on Sunday is suppose to be vibrant and motivational. It is to show our people who have much reason to cry that there is a part of the gospel that Jesus promoted during His ministry on earth. This is the celebration, non religious feel the joy approach.

Sundays afternoons has become a time in Cape Town where people are waiting for an encouragement, a presentation that brings a smile and a message of hope and peace through the music on my show. I have the vision to reach all cultures, but because I have such a passion for my own (coloured people), I try as much as possible to bring myself over as a person who loves who he is and are happy with his identity. We have thousands of coloured people young and old that feel inferior or left behind in the country. The truth is that only when themselves find themselves in Jesus Christ, will their inner peace be restored.

I enjoy anything from pinkster(pentocostal) to Joyous Celebration to Hillsongs. On Sundays it is my task to make sure that no one feel left out. The program include all cultures and the lines and sms lines are always busy.
You can send me some of your comments, requests for a Sunday program to one of the following email addresses :

Sundays - line up
14h00 -14h45 - A selection of music mostly for the youth, young adult audience.

14h45 -
A special space to send dedications to those in prison, hospitals or those who lost a loved one. The music is more local flavor and very soft on the ear. I include a classic track or 2.

15h20 - A special word of teaching (mostly Afrikaans) from the Bible, to help and guide communities.

15H30 - Fired up with gospel vibey tunes that includes Cape Town pentecostal music, Xhosa dance tunes and other up tempo beats. This is also a time for live calls 021 7889494 and sms dedications 0337889494

I try as much as possible to play half an hour of worship toward the end, but don't always make it with the busy afternoon that is unpredictable.

I invite guests occasionally and since about three months ago I invite people who have experience in the music field to talk about music development in Cape Town.
Stay fired up - Ons bly aan die Brrrrrraaaand.

Wednesday on Time to Decide, I invite different ministers and we bring the Bible across to people with simplicity. It is becoming quite popular. As always I try to get the best music going so be tunes in on Wednesdays 6 - 9 pm. It is actually two programs, Time to decide and Focus on the family. The conversational part of the program is between 19h15 - 19h55.

Stay focused -
JESUS IS LORD AND HE IS WAITING TO HEAR FROM U

Music

It is difficult to find music of Cape Town artists especially the coloured musicians and original Cape Town pentecostal music (koortjies), because these artists are struggling. Businesses don't want to support as sponsors and the government is not doing much to help Christian coloured musicians and singers.
At Benny Roberts Communication Services it is my wish to help them and I call on anyone who
wants bless Cape Town artists to come alongside us financially so that we can help these artists who are on their own.

We have music available of a few Cape Town artists and the prices are the same for all of the CDs, unless indicated otherwise.
